A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to inactive addresses under the very same domain. For instance, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive emails from buddies or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be rather easy in case you have a hosting with us. You can activate the feature through our advanced, yet easy-to-use Email Manager, which is included in the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage the account itself. You will find all the mailboxes that you have set up listed alphabetically and to the right of each one of them there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly inform you whether a certain mailbox gets all the emails associated with a given domain name or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature at any time. If there is active email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you’ll receive a warning text message from our system. The latter won’t replace/disable anything automatically or without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You’ll be able to create a catch-all address with no more than one click if you have a semi-dedicated server with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the mailboxes that you set up with any domain hosted in the account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Each of them will have a small "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this option will be to click on that icon. In the same fashion you’ll be able to deactivate the feature, in case you don’t need it any longer. Our system will inform you in case you are trying to activate a 2nd catch-all email address for a particular domain or in case there is active email forwarding, but it will never alter or deactivate anything automatically and without your approval.
